Art and technology.  On the surface, there may not seem to be many similarities between the two.

But both bring people together, and in their own way, they make people’s lives better.  Both act as vessels for people to express themselves; through painting and singing or live-streaming to social media.  In essence, they’re both tools we use to engage and express ourselves with each other.

Doug McCraw, co-founder of FAT Village,  saw the potential in both fields, which prompted him to start the Flagler Arts and Technology district.

“I had this sense that there could be a place where high tech and great art could not only co-exist, but interact with pride.”

FAT Village has quickly grown into a budding art community attracting young creatives to the tech and art movement.  And it’s only the beginning of the Art Fort Lauderdale art fair.
