Episode 14: Frank Papandrea

Art is much more than pretty paintings hotels hang up in their lobby because it matches the color of their couches.  While we do enjoy fun and colorful environments, art is more about the message and essence behind each piece.  What does it say to you?  How does it make you feel?

Although it has a role in art, it’s more than eye-catching techniques or impressive drawing talent.  Oftentimes, techniques and drawing talent take away from the bigger picture of the artwork as the viewer mostly notices the imperfections.  The bigger picture is the message.

Frank Papandrea, a native of Coconut Creek, Fla., has evolved passed impressive and tedious techniques onto his next phase as an artist: evoking thought and reactions from his viewers.  His goal is to capture the essence and realness of everyday life.
