Artist Spotlight: Kas

Kas’ art can only give you a glimpse into the Portuguese artist’s mind.  A piece of the puzzle, if you will. His art often depicts images cut up in puzzle pieces, near or fully complete.  Children are a frequent theme in his murals. His latest project is “Sleeping Beauty” (below) in Amsterdam for The Kings Day Street Art Festival and it will be part of the world’s biggest street art museum opening next year, so keep an eye out for that. Students Rename a Building After Banksy, Banksy Shows Up

Elementary students at Bridge Farm Primary School in Bristol arrived this morning to discover an eye-opening new mural by Banksy that appeared sometime in the night, but the placement wasn’t random: the building itself bears the elusive street artist’s name. Birds Emerge fro Kinetic Flurry of Spray Paint

  Brazilian artist L7M (previously) depicts owls, ducks, sparrows, and other birds materializing from a chaotic swirl of dripped paint and flourishes of spray. The graffiti birds not only contrast urban and natural elements, but also depict a distinct clash of both abstract and figurative techniques.
